“Pieces Into Peace”
When it feels like everything is falling into pieces, how can you find more Peace? When we are confused and asleep in the illusion of separation, there is no Peace in our world. Spiritual wisdom and tools can help us awaken and rise to the Truth that, as Dr. Ernest Holmes said, “Peace is always at the center of our own soul.” Oneness, Peace and Harmony prevail. Spiritual tools in our toolkit for Life help us have a Grand Rising in our personal and collective experience of Peace. In this month’s topic, we will explore: What is Peace? How to cultivate Inner Peace, Peace with others, Peace in community, and Peace on Earth--and truly put the “Peaces” together in order to Rise Up and BE the Peace we see in the world.

Welcome …
Welcome to these tumultuous times in which we can feel the excitement of possibility and harbor fear in response to a whole list of “what-if’s.” Tumultuous times are described as periods of time that involve many confusing yet exciting feelings; times characterized by a lot of change, challenge, difficulties, and sometimes violence.
At times like these, I lean back into the story in Gospel of Mark (9:21-24) in which a father comes to Jesus and asks, “If you can do anything, take pity on us and help us.” Jesus challenges the man, “If you can?”, then declares, “Everything is possible for one who believes.” Immediately the boy's father exclaimed, “I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!”
I do believe! And I acknowledge that my fear of the “what-if’s” sometimes distracts me. I think I am not alone in experiencing confidence that a world that works for all is not only possible, that the shift to it is happening as we each use the power of Spirit within to manifest it … and intermittently experiencing twinges of doubt. My prayer therefore is, “help me overcome my unbelief.”
Knowing there is only One Creative Source that is springing forth of Itself into and as all Creation, I know that I am an individuation of It. I know that that truth of my being is the Truth of all … all that I sense I understand and everyone and everything else for there is only One Creator and One Creation – all is One. Embracing this Oneness, I do believe that a world that works for all is unfolding and surging into manifestation. I do believe that kindness and respect undergird all interactions. I do believe that Peace prevails in all relationships, in all dimensions. I do believe all are welcome in a world that works for all. I do believe that each of us is bold enough to proactively seek engagement by supporting everyone in awakening to their magnificence. I do believe that as each and every one of us recognizes the divinity of each other, we will achieve a world that does work for all. For all of this and more, I am ever so grateful.
So, I welcome everyone to a non-tumultuous time:
Peace be unto thee, stranger, enter and be not afraid.
I have left the gate open and thou art welcome to my home.
There is room in my house for all.
I have swept the hearth and lighted the fire.
The room is warm and cheerful
and you will find comfort and rest within.
The table is laid and the fruits of Life are spread before thee.
The wine is here also, it sparkles in the light.
I have set a chair for you
where the sunbeams dance through the shade.
Sit and rest and refresh your soul.
Eat of the fruit and drink the wine.
All, all is yours, and you are welcome.
E.S. Holmes
