MEET OUR LEADERSWe are blessed with a dedicated Leadership Council and others who lead teams and committees that keep CLS Metro alive. These individuals share their gifts and talents, continually giving of themselves from their hearts.


Charles Lewis


Charles Lewis moved as a child to the Washington, DC area over forty years ago. He is a graduate of Howard University School of Law and has worked with his current employer at BWI airport for over ten years.

Charles was introduced to Science of Mind by his now husband, Frank Mastoris, RScP, shortly after they met four years ago. Since that time, Charles has completed classes in Beyond Limits and Foundations of Science of Mind. He and his husband reside in Washington, DC.


Libby Hecker, RScP


Libby Hecker moved to Northern Virginia in 1999 from San Francisco. She became involved with Religious Science at First Church of Religious Science in San Francisco, where she served in various capacities. Shortly after her move to the Washington area, she became very active at Celebration Center of Religious Science in Falls Church, (now Celebration Center for Spiritual Living), serving on the Board and assisting with classes.

A graduate of George Washington University with a BA in Economics, Libby spent thirty years in information management with the Federal Government and ten years consulting with various agencies. In addition to being a founding member of CSL Metro, she remains active with the Stafford Study Group in Fredericksburg, which she helped found in 2009. She lives in Woodbridge with her three “part Maine Coon” cats and enjoys travel, photography, cooking and knitting.

Sandra Minnesang

In addition to being the Leadership Council Secretary, Sandy, an outreach practitioner who lives in Delaware and summers in Maine with her partner, Ruth, has been a licensed practitioner since 2004. She began her SOM studies while serving as an educator in Southern California, where she earned a BA in English and an MA in Education and did graduate work in psychology.  She was a devoted supporter of the original CSL church in Delaware from when she moved there in 2000 until it closed in 2016.

In her spare time, Sandy enjoys traveling, reading, writing, attending live performances, being in Nature, and spending time with family and friends.


Jason Muhammad

Jason has been a DC area resident and a member of CSL Metro since 2015; relocating from Los Angeles where he was introduced to the Science of Mind. Jason is a graduate of the University of Redlands (MBA),  Roosevelt University (M.A.) and Mt. Sierra College (BSc). Jason works as a sales engineer for a global software company. He is helping our team with our efforts to be more visible to the communities we serve.
